Originally from Northern Ireland, Alison Marr now lives in London. She’s a musician who used to play in a punk folk group. She has a degree in Creative Writing and writes short stories and poetry. She loves phantasmagoria and magic realism and is currently writing a book of dystopian fairy tales set in contemporary Kilburn with a variety of grotesques and magical creatures including a drug-addled jazz cat who is wanted by the dole for excessive patrimony, a glass girl who turns into a snow scene when agitated, and a cannibalistic junky troll. She likes performing and has had work accepted by Magma poetry magazine and stories published by Black Sandal.
