Beware of the Trees seems to have become Matt’s main blog lately… but hopefully he’ll manage to convince Tricity to write something new some time soon, so… let’s see what happens…

BEWARE OF THE TREES

Musings on life in SE10 and other parts of London’s “lower east side”, a mysterious land where even the foliage is a little bit tasty, though not in a Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall sense. You might think it sounds a bit niche, but wouldn’t that be like saying you need to be Danish to appreciate Hamlet? Not, of course, that I’m in any way comparing myself to Sandi Toksvig.

DANGER: VOID BEHIND DOOR

Irregular musings on things that strike me as worth musing upon. A lot of people would probably say that the key word in that sentence is “irregular”, whereas I like to think that it’s “worth”. This is why I’ve disabled the Comment facility.

I’M JUST A GIRL WHO CAN’T SAY PWLLHELI

Romantic novelist Tricity Bendix’s tales of a misplaced girlhood and of her struggle to be taken seriously both as a writer and as a woman have not only featured in Smoke since issue one, but will soon form the basis of a poignant new memoir. This blog features work-in-progress alongside Tricity’s musings on life, love, and the best way to bathe an over-excited labrador.

SARAH RECORDS AND SHINKANSEN RECORDINGS

Before Smoke, I ran/co-ran two independent record labels, Shinkansen and Sarah, both of which, I think it would be fair to say, changed the face of popular music as we know it. Sadly, life isn’t fair. NB this is website, not a blog, and therefore contains no musings.
